Dosage on pack Persil Ultimate far too high for frontloader

Pros

Washes well, nice fragrance, price ok if on special only.

Cons

Front loader comes up with "check dosage" = too much foam on my Miele w/m, even with only 1 scoop out of the 1.5 indicated, and then that 1 scoop is split 2/3 in main wash and 1/3 in prewash. No wonder that Persil isn't endorsed by Miele. How can the dosage for all types of w/m be the same when a front loader uses far less water than a top loader. Does not make sense at all. Cardboard scoop breaks up at its handle one the powder becomes lumpy in the laundry.

Smell gives some in the whanau a migraine!

We had to throw it out, as the smell dominated the laundry room and room next door, and gave some of whanau a migraine.

I won't use it. See below for the reason why.

Cons

This washing powder is tested on animals and I won't use it. There's no reason to be doing this in 2024. There are many products that don't contribute to animal suffering.

No, this product has too many drawbacks.

Pros

It does a good job of cleaning clothes. Seems value for money.

Cons

We have been using this product for years, but lately it has dropped in quality. The clothes after washing don't 'smell' clean as much as they used to.
Have they changed the formula, it used to have specs of blue in it. Not any more.

Recommend it?

Persil Ultimate

Pros

Does a great job. Don’t need to use as much as stated to get good results. This applies to both top loader and front loader. Putting a small amount in prewash does give brilliant results on tougher stains. I like the smell.

Cons

Price - but I only buy on special. I get frustrated when emptying the box into my glass container, and the powder gets caught in the outer casing and spills everywhere.

The dreadful scent!!
I would rather choose my own perfume to apply than have all my clothes smelling (distasteful) of washing powder

Cons

Your stated prices are way lower than reality and this seems to be an ongoing issue from past experience. Current prices for 1kg pack size is $10.50 Fresh Choice, $10 New World, $10 Countdown, $8.69 Pak & Save here in Nelson and online throughout the country. Buying larger pack sizes does not get you a discount either. Highly fragranced.
